On a clear day I’ll fly home to you I’m bending time getting back to you

It’s 9:50 pm, Sunday night.

This time next week I’ll have been in the air for 4 hours. That time in the air will be pivotal – the time when I think I’ll really be feeling, for the first time, the past closing off and the future beginning.

The ever-wise Chavile wrote me that, “Maybe we were both born into lives and circumstances that have absolutely prepared us for what lies ahead, but in order to realize our futures, also demands that we leave it all behind.”

True, that. And I feel very lucky that while I’ve had to let go a lot of things, I’ve been able to keep with me the better moments, the memories of what was good that keep propelling me into the future armed and ready to fight for what I want.

Meet me in Mauntauk, baby.
