la musique française / Pink Martini

December 27, 2017 By Nikki Leave a Comment

In my quest to reach C2 level in French by the end of 2018, I’ll be spending a lot of time going back to old favorite French songs and musicians, as well as French movies I’ve loved and a few television series I’ve discovered along the way.

One of the songs that’s been stuck in my head for months (and that even my son has taken to reciting along with me) is Pink Martini’s Sympathique. It’s great not only for vocabulary but also reviewing a little grammar along the way! (And it’s super fun.) Last year they released a new album with another catchy French song – Joli garçon. (And just as an aside, ils ne sont pas français, ils viennent du Portland!)
